Health and Wellness
Chairman: Amanda Ladd
Purpose: The GFWC Health and Wellness Community Service program is designed to inform members of issues that affect the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. To improve the members well-being, the program addresses three key components: (1) nutrition, (2) disease prevention, and (3) physical and emotional care. The program aims to explore the various oportunities for awareness and advancement of each of these vital areas.
The committee is responsible for scheduling a guest speaker at one of the business meetings during the year.
It is also encouraged to promote other projects during the year, such as:
- Boys and Girls Home
- Canine Companions
- O'Berry Center
- Habitat for Humanity
- Identify Thief
- March of Dimes
- Advocates for Children
